ePathway Academy concluded the Construction and Engineering week with a visit to Clovis West High School where Mark Wilson Construction was remodeling a classroom and expanding the library on campus. Led by Doug Reitz and his team, the students entered a completed branch of the Educational Employees Credit Union on campus. There we met the branch manager and toured the facilities, one of the few financial branches on a high school campus that meets the needs of students and the public. We then visited a remodeling of a classroom underway that will seat over 150 students in theatre style seating. Finally, we toured the construction at the remodeling of the library which is being expanded and equipped with modern features essential for student learning. Doug spent time not only on career paths in the industry but emphasizing many life skills useful for success in construction and other industries. We very much enjoyed seeing the construction in action and learning more about how construction and engineering play a role in improving the quality of lives for everyone.
