Manufacturing: MEC Aerial Work Platforms

The third visit in manufacturing week was to MEC Aerial Work Platforms. MEC makes equipment for getting people high up in the air for construction work. Our visit was quarterbacked by Jack Harwood, Vice President of After-Sales and Support. Students got to hear from all parts of the company, including engineering, finance, operations, human resources, marketing, sales, and support. The company shared about their strategic orientation and how each part of the company supports that strategic direction. Students got to tour the factory floor and even talk with some of the workers who were assembling and welding products. Thanks to Jack and MEC for a great visit!
